Ledger of Life
It often seems that life’s moments fall into either of two categories: as debt collecting mechanisms or as life-giving forces
Every action, spoken word, conversation, debate, argument, and
decision exert a specific, time-bound pressure of X magnitude, whether positive
or negative
Each “Event” tattoos itself onto the timeline, unable to be altered
- Those things that have been done and should have been done deliver a positive impact
- Those things that have been done but should not have been done deliver a negative impact
- Those things that haven’t been done but should have been done deliver a negative impact
- And those things that haven’t been done and rightfully should not have been done deliver a positive impact
And cumulatively, they may coalesce at certain points in
life
Zigzagging above and below the line of equilibrium until the
point at which life finally ceases
But rest assured, because life is not privy to the emotional
overlays of any Event
It does not bother with the way you view what
happened, but rather the objective reality of what happened
When the sun folds in on itself and your pulse becomes rumor,
the final answer is up to you
Will you leave behind wisdom and wealth? Or pain and
poverty?
Will you leave behind an obituary to be lost among the
masses?
Or a legacy that will long be spoken of beyond your physical
presence?
How will you sign off?
