Harsh voices once belittled artistic actions

Unrepaid debts cast shadows on tomorrow

Dismissed emotions that still wound deeply

Unforgiving ink that broke spirit

Problems unspoken and unresolved, left to rot in silence --

All designed to chain the future, to keep it from becoming.

 

So --

Shut out the voices.

Settle the debts.

Rewire thoughts, reshape feelings.

Burn the cursed texts.

Exalt reason.

 

For only on a solid foundation

can we summon what’s been missing for far too long:

safety, belonging, and the quiet strength to grow
